The Employee Engagement Network

This is an outstanding presentation explaining the basics of Twitter, demographics of users and using Twitter for Marketing. I will use it in my leadership trainings both as Twitter 101 and as an example of the intriguing ways our lives our changing almost overnight.

Thank you for sharing this resource.

Judy,

It is a useful resource and I find that there are a very rich range of resources at slideshare. I am glad you found it helpful and I like how Twitter is being used in a variety of ways.

You might enjoy this TED Talk by Evan Williams from Twitter if you have not already seen it. click here

In addition here is an interesting article on how to present while people are Twittering. click here.

David,
Thank you for your amazing-as-usual-lightning reply! I love you rresponsiveness and the idea of the engagement network. thank you for the additional resources. it seems like i'm learnng some new and exciting every 5 minutes.
I believe I've mentioned this before but it's still an issue so will run it by you again. I am an Executive Coach and leadership trainer as you know. While I've never been an HR director, I was a CEO for 30 years and many times had to function as both. However, I can't quite see how to really engage, if you'll pardon the weak joke. I don't have a lot of extra time to spend but I do use the theme of engagement in my leadership trainings. any thoughts?
again, thanks for a really nice job of leadership.

Best,

Judy Nelson

Ah, the script for a boss! That is easy, but a long way from the traditional one. First, I suggest the boss do a quick read of Douglas McGregor's "The Human Side of Enterprise" to gain an understanding of the theory behind X and Y. Then commit the…

My view on this is that where you treat employee engagement like a ‘big bang’ corporate change programme it will always carry a significant risk of turning into an ‘organisational Vietnam’. Don’t go to war in the first place! Do it by taking lots a…
