according to me employee engagement is the tool to reduce employee turnover.
It motivates employee to work hard & smart.
It inculcate good teams among employees.
It helps to enhance the productivity & quality of the product and reduce wastage & errors in the process.

I work as a manager for learning and development at Manipal Education. In my experience, engagement is a product of energy, setting standards, recognising people strengths and providing appropriate opportunities for them to show high performance.
