The Employee Engagement Network

Dear All,

I've been talking about this "manager tool" off the forums with some of you already, since I was a bit shy of publicly promoting my company's own product on a social forum :) but after some encouragement from David to put a sample card up for discussion, here it is.

The cards are a tool to keep being aware of your own performance as a manager and to constantly ask yourself how you could improve your own skills and your employees happiness at work --> and resulting from that the level of employee engagement.

They are a proper Poker game, too :) They have originally been designed for young junior managers who have just been promoted (therefore the "fun" format of poker cards) but I've noticed that companies (here in the Netherlands and in Germany) have given them to their senior staff as well. Either just as a motivating gift, or they use them as a cost effective way to continue education at the moment, when many training budgets are cut (i.e. use them as prompts for coaching groups of managers or individuals, or to add one card/one question to the agenda of management meetings, to share knowledge and experiences).

The website www.selfcoachingcards.eu is currently under construction, but on my profile page you can see a few more cards and of course I can give you more info on them if you're interested.

Best regards
Anja

Appreciate the question--but what if you consider that there is more than one type of "true" engagement, and that different types of engagement may involve more or less spiritual, intellectual or participatory involvement?
