Hi everyone, I've been a member of this site for a while and have just had the time to explore it a bit more.

By way of introduction, I am a Consultant/coach using Organizational Transactional Analysis and we offer open workshops and coaching as well as in-house training.  We have just had our book published "Working together, Organizational Transactional Analysis and Business Performance" which we hope will change our fortunes in this time of recession!

I look forward to finding more out about the rest of this group and to making connections for the benefit of others.

All the best, Anita

Those of you who get involved with learning design and delivery will be interested in a workshop into the use of drama techniques to enhance their practice. This is a professional development workshop being run in Bristol on 24 March 2011.

·       Investigate the use of professional actors in creating interest, excitement and realism to conferences and workshops through forum theatre, role play and real play.

·       Use drama techniques to develop your own technique and presence.

·       Consider using plays such as Henry V (and as we will see in the workshop, King Lear) as a demonstration and source of inspiration and learning.

In this workshop you can experience, try out and learn from leaders in the field, including Mark Huggins and his team from Corporate Drama and Erik de Haan, Director of the Ashridge Centre for Coaching. There will also be opportunities to share experiences and develop applications for yourself through discussion with the facilitators and other participants.

The event is being hosted at the Brewery Theatre in Bristol, using its theatre space to add atmosphere and reality to the subject matter, and its foyer, studio space and Green Room as more intimate discussion areas.

As a CPD event run by practitioners for practitioners, it is being run on a cost recovery, not for profit, basis. Hence the highly accessible price of £125.00 plus VAT, including lunch and refreshments during the day.

Glad to connect with fellow UK professionals this way - I find The Employee Engagement Network a wonderfully creative resource (all down to the people of course!).  And we'd love to welcome all and any fellow UK members to our IABC events in 2011 - most in London at present, but keen to connect better across UK.  Our next get-together is a lively Change & Comms panel debate on 17 January: check it out, and do come along if you can! http://iabcukchangedebate.eventbrite.com

We all know how tough times have been and the pressure this has placed on what are traditionally viewed as the internal communication professions.

The engagement "industry" needs to adapt to the changing needs of the market.
Follow this link to read about a new initiative aimed at bringing together some of the more controversial names operating within this space to change the way employee engagement is percieved and add impetus to the economic recovery process:
