Bryan Mason is employed with Management and Training Corporation (MTC) as the center director of the Paul Simon Chicago Job Corps Center. He provides general oversight that assists eligible youth between the ages of 16-24 with completing their secondary education, and gaining a certified occupational skill through career technical training programs. He also assists them with participating in advance career technical training, or post-secondary education programs. His desired outcome is that they enter into career or career development opportunities making a livable wage with long-term advancement potential attachment to the workforce.
Prior to becoming a center director, Bryan spent over 16 years with Job Corps in admissions, career transition, records management, student training, center operations, corporate regional operations, and national corporate programs, training, development and support. Bryan has served 14 years in the armed forces, is a graduate of City and Hamilton Universities, the husband of Rhonda for over 27 years, and a father of three daughters.
The Paul Simon Chicago Job Corps Center offers a primarily residential education and training setting with basic adult literacy, math and English language learner programs, GED preparation and testing, a competency-based charter high school, two competency-based online high schools, nine technical training programs with related intern and externship opportunities, a college program, and up to 18 months of post-enrollment career placement and support service assistance.
