I'm an Internal Communications Manager who is actively involved in driving engagement, developing workplace culture and delivering innovative communications. I'm currently business owner for a new Intranet using Sharepoint and keen to learn more and share experience around intranets.
I love to search for new ideas and information relating to my role.
What is your interest or involvement in employee engagement?
True about Rugby - I guess like engagement in organisations, its something that has built over years of success stories and wins. The downside though now in NZ is that when our rugby team doesnt win , the nation mourns somewhat and forgets the good times. Again like in business. Mmm some parallels there that I may use - thanks for the brain prompt.
Regarding the small cultures, its something I'm finding to be a strength in our business. The team spirit and engagement can be really high in some teams but not consistent across the business, so I'm working hard to get people to share what they do that works. Take a solution focus.
But how do you engage the population so strongly in Rugby that you create such a powerful team year after year?
I imagine we share much in comment yet I think engagement also resides not just in nations or cultures but within the small cultures of each organization.

I doubt that anyone is apathetic to the cause of fixing what is wrong about our health care system. But there is no attempt in the present legislation to address those ills, only to effect a federal takeover of what it does not already control abo...
CNN gave the passage of the bill one-third the space on its home page that it gave “New mom inspired to lose 71 pounds.” Is the United States apathetic to the cause? Are we doubting its reality? What do you think?

I saw the video on Patti Digh's 37 days site and thought it would make a nice video for a 5 minute period of disengagement before engaging in new work.
