Thanks for the welcome. I ran accross your community while doing some general research into the concept of employee engagement.
I was a manager in years past, well before this topic became so, well, topical. Currently, however, I am on the receiving end of an engagement survey/process, which is, to say the least, flawed. Intentions are good, but in practice the approach has been more disengaging then the reverse.
There are several factors in my current corporate environment which factor into this, which I won't go into here. Rather than simply ignore the issue, my frustration at the process prompted me started to look around at what is being done elsewhere.
