Good to know I'm not alone in this, Deirdre. Welcome aboard! I'm thinking I'll use an existing instrument or develop a hybird... still researching this part. Its a fascinating topic with lots of supporting research in the psychological and business journals. So far, the literature hasn't given me much on measurement, though, but there are a few solid commercial instruments, some you can access through this forum. Looking forward to associating with you.

Welcome to the employee engagement network from Aldergrove.

I am always so pleased to see another Canadian join us.

Yikes, I can imagine their is lots of work on completing your PhD in engagement. What was your dissertation topic? What are you initially finding out?

I look forward to your participation in the network.

I'd appreciate hearing from others on best practices regarding the frequency of employee engagement surveys. I've seen lots of debates on what is the best interval to use for regular measurement and it wouuld help if you could share how often you do…

Be sure to understand what your employees are 'engaged' with; ie. their job, work group, direct manager, the leadership, the company...
