Who are you?
I am known for the Square Wheels illustrations about how organizations work and have been working to use these cartoons to involve and engage people in the workplace since 1984. I develop team building board games such as The Search for The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine and Seven Seas Quest to focus on motivation, collaboration and shared goals.
What is your interest or involvement in employee engagement?
Nobody ever washes a rental car! How can we engage people if we do not create a sense of ownership and active ivolvement

Hello Dr. Simmerman,

I totally agree with you about changing perception regarding unempowered employees. To me, when you have an individual that is truly empowered, they truly connect to their work, their personal lives and other people.

I think of empowerment as energy, how does a person transder that energy from within to people, situations or organizations?

We used square wheels mid-90's at Maytag. Great stuff! Am definitely going to look at what's new.
