Thank you Tim and David,
To answer Tim's question, I am the business unit Manager of our Financial Planning & Analysis department. Our company took the Gallup Survey last year. We are now developing action plans using a bottoms up approach. There are 2,000 people in our business unit. I became an avocate for EE a few months ago and started looking to see where I could help the organization achieve it's goals related to EE. One way I have tried to promote EE is by talking to people about it. Recently I've been working with our Communication Manager to change our internal BU website from one that was more focused on business, to one that has more of a people focus (communication, recognition, development etc). I wrote a page about Gallup to put on the site, so people could get a better understanding of what the survey is all about and how they could help with EE. I also wanted to use it to communicate what is happening across the BU related to our action plans. We are planning more social events and in general trying to have more fun at work. We are also in the process of having an "Employee Appreciation" week at one of our major locations, with the theme "it's all about you". So, I guess I'm doing a lot of different things.
Glad you've joined us. I'm curious as to what you do...how you support/promote EE. I lived/worked in Reston from 2000-2002. Great place. Almost as great as Austin.

I summarized some high-level thought leadership from firms such as DDI, McKinsey, Towers Perrin, and Hewitt in my latest blog post. These are all papers from the last several months discussing engagement: bit.ly/3a4uft
I know that Towers Perrin a...
Thanks a lot for your help !
I actually did have a look on Gallup's 12 Questions, the only worry is that it measures more the enablers of employee engagement than employee engagement itself. I have however grouped the items into themes, and only o...
