Who are you?
It's all at jaycross.com, but briefly, my mission is helping workers adapt to changing times and lead productive, fulfilling lives. We once called this training but I now consider most training a waste of time, having discovered how much people learn from one another, from experimentation, and from living a rich life. I promote this concept of informal learning continuously. I've written a book, hundreds of blog posts, and given keynote presentations to anyone who will listen. If you want to know more, just ask. I believe in the karma of sharing with the net.
What is your interest or involvement in employee engagement?
Trying to bring employees and their management out of the gloom of disengagement.

Hi Jay,
Though I make my living in the Training field, I do believe that you are right when you say "most training (is) a waste of time." If the 70-20-10 maxim is true, most of our learning takes place in-the-doing of our tasks and in-the-living of our lives, at work and elsewhere.
I look forward to much conversation!
Welcome,
Terry

Jay,
I am very pleased you decided to join us at this employee engagement network, I especially like your "about me." It has a mission, a touch of rant, a lot of learning, and the karma of asking...what more could anyone want.
I visited your site and I will need to return to it as I just scanned it and it looks interesting and informative.
David

Thanks a lot for your help ! I actually did have a look on Gallup's 12 Questions, the only worry is that it measures more the enablers of employee engagement than employee engagement itself. I have however grouped the items into themes, and only o...

Beautiful video that makes you think about all the 'moments' in your life. When you think about it, engagement is all about moments too...when someone takes that brief moment to get to know you, to do something nice for you, etc....in the end- all...
