Kate,
You left a comment for Carol on her wall. I was leaving one made a mistake and went to delete it and it deleted both my comment and yours. I apologize for this.

Which company do you work for? I was working with IBM in London, then in Leeds.

Ahhh, I miss my UK days. I loved the summers especially.

Go Sheffield Wednesday!

Kate,
Welcome to the network. I look forward to your input and perspective. Did you get a PhD from the University of Life...or just a whole lot of experiences that mean so much more than 3 letters. Please feel free to both contribute and ask for what you need.
David

Profile Information

Who are you?
UK based and fairly new to a formal Human Resource/CPD role but a wide field of experience in the University of Life. I have worked in many business fields and at differing levels of responsibility from the lowest to being my own Company Director.

I work at the European Headquarters of a US based manufacturing/engineering company, which in turn is owned by a Global Corporation with exemplary credentials in the field of employee engagement.

I plan to start studying for my CIPD qualification - Post-Grad Diploma in Human Resouce Management in Sept 08. Initially, I hope selfishly to gain more by being here than I input, but over time perhaps I can add a few pearls of wisdom of my own.
What is your interest or involvement in employee engagement?
Human Resource/Culture & People Development Practitioner
Where are you located?
United Kingdom, Nottingham
