Well, as a consultant, I don't have to communicate them. But if I were helping a client do that, I would say that the guidelines should not be constructed by someone who is not using the tools. They will do a terrible job because they won't "get it"…

If you are going to ASTD's international conference, let me know. I would love to have a coffee and chat with some folks. I will be speaking on Tuesday at 10am and then in the bookstore at 11:30 signing copies of Hip and Sage. I have pockets of pote…

Lisa,

You just made my day. Very nice to see you vrrrroooom into the network. Of course you know you were one of the very first I invited here when we were just 1 not 1000 plus. That is how much I thought you were aligned with this progressive approach to engagement. I know you have limited time and are doing a ton of stuff but you offer so much to help leaders and individuals increase and foster engagement. Great to have you here. I will put you right into the feature section now. I believe this community is growing to be a strong force to be reckoned with by organizations and in today's age community will trump organization anytime.

Thanks for sharing this information, Roy. When I was Research Director at The Loyalty Institute, we found that the #1 driver of employee commitment was an organization's efforts to build a sense of spirit and pride. This was true in the US as well…

As a survey consultant I guess that I should like the idea of conducting monthly surveys, but I am concerned that employees may feel that they are being "over surveyed." There are options, of course. An organization might randomly assign each emplo…

This is a great read, a great story. I smiled the whole time as I read this. If this conversation is possible in your organization, then I'd say your leadership is trusted and transparent. Thanks for this story.

I won't be wishing you "Season's Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" this December. These secular, generic salutations are popular in corporate America because they are not specific to any one religion or belief system. The business world, like America's…
