I'm a senior communications officer for an international organization. I work specifically on internal communications, so employee engagement is a corner-stone of my job (or should be...). My background is actually in knowledge management where again engagment is at the crux of the matter.
What is your interest or involvement in employee engagement?
Michelle,
I started both a forum and a group on the network. I would love to see this be a great place to keep up with all the latest research in Employee Engagement. I appreciate your request being the genesis of this development.

Michelle, I will start a forum to have participants offer sources of current research on employee engagement. Here is a new report from Blessing White.
i love puns (even those that 'reach' a bit!) I'll do my best to contribute.
in the meantime, I'm getting ready to do a presentation next week at our annual communicators conference and will do a bit about employee engagement. Am working with data which is now about 2-3 years old (towers perrin, corporate leadership council, and the like). Might there be anything more recent which shows the impact of engagement on business operations?
Hi Michele,
I echo Terrence's welcome and hope we can "bank" on your "world" view. OK, I have pun problems but seriously I look forward to your interaction and point of view.

Hi Michele,
Welcome to the EE Network and to the Manager Tools group. I look forward to your contributions. As an internal communications officer, you can help all of us with this vital aspect of organizational engagement.

Does employees’ satisfaction with workplace diversity positively impact employees’ overall satisfaction with their jobs?
The attached research gives us some insight into this topic. I look forward to your comments.
All the best,
Kevin Sheridan
As a consultant, I often have the privilege of acting as my client’s right hand or lending a listening ear for what’s going on in their business. I am not a certified coach, but years of being a performance improvement specialist has taught me much…
Appreciate the question--but what if you consider that there is more than one type of "true" engagement, and that different types of engagement may involve more or less spiritual, intellectual or participatory involvement?
Yonica:
I appreciated the statement: "an invisible grandfather clause." Staying power and growth not just sticking around because of the pension. Well said.
David
Finding a candidate with some staying power is such an awesome thing. There are a lot of candidates out there who are willing to stick with a good employer, and there are others who are just looking to build their resume.
Though you may find candid…
