Will ponder on that during the day. An important but difficult thought.

Thank you for such a thoughtful note. I believe there is a very strong connection between mindfulness and engagement and that mindfulness has lots to offer the field of engagement and we can always learn more about engaging in mindfulness. One of my favorite quotes was from Alan Watts: If you make where you are going more important than where you are there may be no point in going.

Hi there
Am easily distracted! Am finding the network really interesting, lots of great discussions going on - just need to do a bit more contributing myself! Might pick your brain at some point if that's OK as developing a book idea of my own, working title is along the lines of 'zen and the art of employee engagement'!

That was quick Olivia. How are you finding the Network? Useful I hope (isn't it great to be part of something where we cynical Euaropeans are in the monority LOL!)?

Hi David

Thanks for the welcome, and for starting the network, what a great idea!

I look forward to contributing and sharing with fellow members. I believe that real engagement needs to start with a focus on the individual, and am particularly interested in how we can use user-centred design and creative techniques to engage and co-create effective communications - and how we can effectively use social media in the workplace.

And I will put a face to the name!
Olivia
