Hi Paul,

Thanks for sharing your article.
I read your article and found it to be very real and practical. Liked the analogy you used to explain measuring engagement and the drivers (global warming). I'm going to use this analogy to explain on engagement to my senior management. I think its so true that engagement has become synonymous with surveys and so many people just miss the point of what the survey is for.

I have some thoughts or questions related to what you wrote and posted a topic in the forum for discussion coz I wanted your opinion and others on this. I would greatly appreciate if you can share based on your research, experience or thoughts on my discussion thread -> Are Managers and Leaders of the Organisation the Key Influencer for increasing employee engagement and how can we improve post-survey change efforts?

Who are you?
Paul M. Mastrangelo specializes in transforming employee data into pathways to change. He has over 15 years of experience in psychological assessment, organization development, and adult education. As a consultant, public speaker, college professor, and author, he has combined evidence-based organizational science with down-to-earth practice. He has co-authored the book Employee Surveys in Management, has over 20 original publications, and is a regular presenter at the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology’s annual conference. At Genesee, Paul leads cross-functional project teams to conduct large-scale survey interventions at multi-national companies, such as Johnson & Johnson, Goodyear and Hewlett-Packard. He led the development of Genesee’s action planning system, Advantage Survey, and “Enchangement” template for planned organizational change.
