Employee Recognition Program

Hello Everyone! I look forward to working with everyone in an online capacity. I'm an Internal Organization Development Consultant, and I'm in the process of designing a rewards and recognition program. Does anyone have any good links / tools / processes they can share / know about? I'm running into a little bit of a wall, and a lack of hours in the day.

Rachel, you should visit Recognition Professionals International at http://www.Recognition.org the . They are a Non Profit Organization dedicated to advancing employee recognition. There is a lot of content on their website about how to structure Best Practise employee recognition programs. (Full Disclosure: I have been a member since 2001 and serve on their Board.) RPI members in certain areas have formed local RPI Roundtables and if I'm not mistaken, there may be one in Minneapolis. I hope this helps. peter

Rachel,
Welcome from Minneapolis to the Employee Engagement network. I look forward to your interaction on the network. I trust you will get some help with your employee rewards and recognition program. There are a number of people on this network involved in that type of work. Let me know if you are looking for something more specific and perhaps I can steer you towards some of the other network members.

Hi Rachel,
Here's an idea for the start of your presentation for the employee recognition programme :)

Do you have a few more details on the programme? Is this for a specific group of employees or in general? Are you addressing the managers to recognize their staff more, or what are your objectives?

I am producing coaching cards for managers, which companies use as incentive for their managing staff, but I'm not sure if this is your target group. I'm happy to send you a free sample!

Regards
Anja

Ah, the script for a boss! That is easy, but a long way from the traditional one. First, I suggest the boss do a quick read of Douglas McGregor's "The Human Side of Enterprise" to gain an understanding of the theory behind X and Y. Then commit the…

My view on this is that where you treat employee engagement like a ‘big bang’ corporate change programme it will always carry a significant risk of turning into an ‘organisational Vietnam’. Don’t go to war in the first place! Do it by taking lots a…
