Overview of professional experience
Head of Complex Electromechanical Production (Logistics Organisation) 1989-1995
Experience gained in two separate companies producing components for lifts and special
hoists.
- in the company producing components for lifts and hoists, production was mass-produced. The planning of purchases of raw materials on an annual basis and the regulating of account/processing timescales in Italy and abroad, required considerable experience and development accuracy in the projecting of the product’s structural requirement. Acting as mediator for the project design requirements of the Technical Office, the Production Centre and the Commercial Office, I personally designed and executed a relational database (Access+Excel), still in use today. It allows all-inclusive management of the operating part of the whole Company; from the coding of materials, structuring of base lists with interconnection for processing production, appropriately separating cost centres and areas and drawing administrative data directly from pre-existing accounting programs and thus processing them, in order to produce a highly accurate profit and loss account. Also, the personal study of physical production flows allowed simplification and optimisation of processing stages inside and outside the factory, resulting in greater accuracy in calculating the hourly personnel /individual account/processing cost as well as allowing a rational management of the turn-over of articles in stock, all supported by an information base linked to the relational database.
in the company that designed and manufactured luxury lift plants and special hoists, I transformed the relational database applying it to production on order requirements. Although there was no particular requirement for warehouse management, it was particularly useful in attributing production costs for each individual job order. Moreover, dividing construction into three macro production lines, I was able to split up the costs according to each line, guaranteeing a highly accurate monitoring of costs. Due to the type of product offered, the purchases requirement demanded a careful search, both in Italy and abroad, for top class materials with a high technological content; the search for and selection, all over the world, of particularly expert artisans in account/processing of raw materials with the inclusion of cutting-edge electro-mechanical mechanisms, was exceedingly important.
Head of Research and Development Commercial Area (Business Development) 1989-2001
in 1984 I began my involvement in the sales sector of the metal-mechanical industry in the lift sector, in the area of export towards countries in the Middle East.
in 1986 I began to follow sales in the import-export area, for the Shipment services division from Italy to Scandinavian Countries
during my stay in Austria 1987-1988, I developed my first sales network for overland haulage services from Italy to all European and Eastern European Countries.
from 1989-1993, I developed my major interest for sales and Int. Public Relations, creating new markets in Northern-European countries, as a result of careful research, taking on personal responsibility for a company that mass produced lift parts and accessories. Naturally, I reported the management of sales and portfolios, divided by production and Region, with graphic splits of the budgets, scrupulously dividing sales structure costs, directly to the Administration via computer support.
from 1993-1995 I further developed my research and development skills, working in a Company that designed and manufactured luxury and special lift plants. I opened up new possible markets outside the sector itself, offering our end product to potential Customers all over the world, such as Governments, Naval, Chemical and Military Industries, General Contractors, Architectural and Engineering Businesses, re-qualifying and increasing the corporate turnover by 40% in three years.
from 1996-1997, I used my professional experience in the sales area, setting up a consultancy business, which, through the Commercial Section of the Austrian Consulate, offered small and medium-sized Italian-Austrian companies, without a reasonable internal commercial structure, the chance to have bilateral contacts. I supported these Companies, coming from a wide range of production sectors, in their search for Partners, offering them the opportunity of feasibility and product studies and targeted searches in both Countries, as well as covering a large number of countries in eastern Europe.
Finally, from 1998-1999, I acquired further experience in the sales sector, working together with a Graphics Business, that studied the corporate image (from BV to organising trade fairs), in the packaging and marketing area.

- Free-lance consultant for small-medium size companies, offering a wide range of services; from studying corporate image to the organisation and optimisation of industrial processes. My preference was for sales consultancy for small-medium-size companies in the international haulage sector
1999-2001
- external consultant, at a company operating in the metal-mechanical sector. I was involved in maintaining and supervising company organisation and also in a wide range of Public Relations activities on the main world markets.
1998-1999
- commercial consultant for a Company Image Office, located in Marasso di Missaglia, where I was mainly responsible for the complete re-structuring of the Office and for finding new markets in Italy and abroad.
1997-1998
- external consultant for a company in the metal-mechanical sector, where I was responsible for optimising the whole company system following the newly adopted expansion policies and internal organisation.
1996-1997
- I set up a consultancy business responsible for company organisation, offering global support, via selected co-workers and Austrian Consulate Authorities, to small/medium-sized Italian-Austrian companies who wished to develop bilateral commercial activities, as well as designing production sites or sales networks for the same.

At this metal-mechanical Company, which mass produced automatic lift doors, I was responsible for both the operating and commercial part of the company. Thanks to my previous sales experience in German-speaking countries, I fully developed a sales network in the same Countries, extending the market to Eastern-European Countries, via contacts in Austria. Within this Company, which had recently been founded as the result of a joint venture by international investors, and with the great confidence which its Board of Directors placed in my personal abilities, I was able to follow, in a responsible manner, development and construction, in its interests, from the first stone to the first organisational re-structuring. I developed excellent experience in the policy of planning purchases and the optimisation of industrial operating costs and was also able to hone my management skills.

Appendix:
During my professional training I have had the chance to gain excellent experience in driving motor vehicles and trucks on European and extra-European roads and off-roads, travelling about 100/150,000 km a year.
I am fully able to operate loading vehicles such as fork trucks, bridge cranes and tip-up trucks, without any problems.
I also have considerable experience as a personal chauffeur in Italy and abroad, both for the Company Owner and for Customers, also in accompanying their family members on tourist or cultural trips.
Also, as a trusted person, I have carried valuables, documents and currencies, taking delivery of them directly from Banks and Insurance Companies all over Europe.
I also have a reasonable amount of experience in managing farms and in organising family-orientated and professional dinners and evenings.
I have often had the role of (PR) entertainer, given my culture, knowledge and discretion, and have also developed reasonable technical know-how in the fashion, art and architectural sectors in general.
