Welcome on board Mike. Went on a fantastic walk down your way the weekend before last. No place better when the sun's shining. Hope you enjoy the Network.
Thanks David - I'm looking forward to getting involved. Engagement is very big in the UK - especially at a time when the economy is beginning to look like it may take a downturn. Its very easy for people to sit still and hold tight in their current roles - although I think the "war for talent" is far from over - and I believe that we will have just a big a job to keep people motivated during this period.
Recognize that employee engagement is not a fluffy extra but the fundamental way you will get work done with others through conversation, co-creation, community, mutuality, and other inclusive approaches to achieve results that matter to organizatio…
Ah, the script for a boss! That is easy, but a long way from the traditional one.
First, I suggest the boss do a quick read of Douglas McGregor's "The Human Side of Enterprise" to gain an understanding of the theory behind X and Y. Then commit the…

I am so pleased you joined. I believe artists have much to teach us about engagement. Here are two posts I wrote about this on my site:
(1) Aganetha Dyck who collaborates with bees.
(2) Elizabeth Perry
Of course, I also love the work of Benjamin Zander too.
I look forward to your involvement Mark.
David
