I did some work with an orgnisation in the UK called Motability. They're one of the UK's leading NFPs and used to have a "charity" culture. They have managed, over the last three years, to become Europe's largest car fleet and one of its most influential buyers as well as an employer of choice and customer service kings. They embrace the NFP tag but are also very commercial. If you get a chance to look at Brand Engagement there's a long case study on Motability. If not, I can send you a related article or look on www.by2w.co.uk for free downloads.
All the best.

Aloha Phil, just thought you might like to know that you are contagious! I mentioned our conversation (about assessment tools and process) in another one at my blog about "the manager's responsibility for leadership."

PWylie -

Welcome aboard!

I'm always curious as to the specific purpose/direction of organizations that are not for profit. Usually they have the best intentions and the best people working for them.

I think it's where engagement happens most and best.

PWylie,
I always appreciate a picture that is not just taken in the office. Nice to have more people from Toronto, thanks for joining us. Is there something specifically you are looking for from this site?
