Profile

About Me: (Please let us know about you and also add a picture to your profile).
GM & Research Director for JRA (a New Zealand & Australian stakeholder survey & analysis company). Have been involved in both consultancy and academia over the years, and have a PhD in organisational psychology (because I wanted to know more about the two-way nature of the employer-employee relationship, to which for me 'employee engagement' captures perfectly).

When not engaging myself in engagement, I'm thoroughly engaged in the wonders that a four year old can bring about - tiring, but fun!
What is your involvement in employee engagement?
I’m the ‘specialist’ that helps ensure JRA applies sound methodological and statistical approaches to the work it does around survey research, and employee engagement surveys in particular. As the ‘research guy’ at JRA (an affectionate term, apparently) I also speak about engagement at various conferences, work with universities on various research projects, and help analyse the largest collection of employee engagement data within New Zealand (using the country’s annual ‘Best Place to Work Survey’).

Where are you located?
9 months of the year - Brisbane, Australia; the rest - Auckland, New Zealand

Neal,
I have not been to Brisbane for a long time but loved the East and West Coasts of Australia. I am glad you joined and look forward to you perspective and ideas.
